We are excited to announce we are manufacturing the very popular Somaca VE1P glass edger here in Southern California. We started manufactured them last year. It was a bit challenging to take on a new project during the Pandemic but we have learned a lot in the process and feel confident in what we have accomplished. This glass edger allows for automated glass grinding, with just a push into the conveyor belt system.
During the last 3 years of selling spare parts for this machine, we heard some concerns from customers and took their feedback and made some exciting changes. When redesigning this machine we created a better tensioning system in the conveyor belt assembly which allows the belt to track better.
We also upgraded the coolant pump system to a semi submersible design which mounts to the corner of the tank with a stainless steel bracket.
The VE1P edger is very simple to operate, this machine allows an option for two wheels to be placed on the same spindle, such as a 1/4” wheel (6mm) Flat with Seam and a 1/2” wheel (12mm) Pencil, allowing for quickly repositioning from one profile to the other. This machine operates on single phase power and is compact for smaller glass shops. We have all of the spare for this machine on our website.
