Refurbished Ve2Plus2 Edger – Before and After 2022

Most machines go through a lot of heavy usage throughout the years and they often find themselves in need of a full refurbishment. We have put together a visual of before and after photos of our refurbishment process and restore these machines with many years of new life. Most VE2Plus2 edger’s that come back to our facility have been well used and often the assemblies become frozen and stiff from the ground coolant throughout the years. Our refurbishment process involves removing all of the parts off the frame of the machine, wheel compartment, front and rear conveyors, in and out assemblies, up and down assemblies, motors, in-feed and out-feed conveyors, vertical supports and covers. The original OEM steel frame, covers, vertical supports are sandblasted to the bare metal and powder painted. Powder paint is a much stronger harder paint application than the original paint, which is baked paint application and will last longer. The diamond wheel and polish wheel motors are cleaned, painted and tuned up. New spindle and bearings are installed in the motors. The edger’s get new front and rear drive chains, wear rails if needed, new front and rear pads along with new in-feed and out-feed conveyor belts. All of the brushes have been replaced along with new rubber wipers and rubber curtain. The in and out assemblies and up and down assemblies are rebuilt and greased. The gear’s and shafts are cleaned and greased. The control panel is also fully upgraded with a new grinding wheel switch, new polish wheel switch, new pump switch, new DC controller, new forward and reverse rocker switch and a new variable speed potentiometer and updated door and face plate. Plumbing was also upgraded with a new pump and recirculating coolant tank. The back support rails are also brand new.
